Two New BSG Vids

First offering is a General BSG Vid:

Notes: After rewatching Gladiator recently I remember how jubilant yet mournful this song was.  It also reminded me so much of the BSG score that I kept going back to it in thinking of a song to make an overarching piece.  This video was me basically asking 'what price freedom' in the BSG verse.   Full of challenges, victories, defeats, and tragedies through individual character's eyes and their interactions.

Notes: Found this song in a soundtrack to Tru Calling, I immediately saw the video in my mind forming.  Pure perfection for Helo/Boomer shippiness.  This one ends in a bit happier an ending than did their story in Season 1, we all make our own reality after all.

And, for the record, Running Two is off the fabulous Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run) soundtrack. Gorgeous movie, too. *g*

yes, you must. As I say in my blog, it's the best movie EVER. Not that I'm setting expectations high at all.

Hi there

I saw your vids posted on one of the other journals (Galactica Vids maybe). I only DLed the first one (dial up connection and not really a H/B shipper) and I really like it. Great song choice.

I have a question, if you don't mind. I haven't seen much of the series yet as I live outside the States (DVDs on their way to me now, thank god) but I've seen a number of clips. I don't recognise one, though. Near the end of the vid there's a clip of what appears to be Kara, up against a wall and looking upset (with a hand on someone's shoulder). Could you tell me which ep. it's from? Is it maybe from the final ep of the season with Helo stopping her from harming Cylon!Boomer?

Yeah, sorry about the spamming, I was pimping these a few places 'cause it's ones I'm rather proud of. :) Thanks for watching though!

About your question, that scene... don't look at it anymore. lol It will spoil quiet a bit if you figure out who she's standing with and where she is. It's from the last few episodes, I'll tell you that, but I want you to be surprised... although in further reading I see you know of Helo having to protect C!Boomer from Starbuck so yeah. That would be that scene. lol

BTW, you may want to check out the H/B vid, it's just a fun song and kinda action-like. Not purely sugary shippy.

Re. the scene, thanks for letting me know. I'm a Starbuck/Apollo fan so I'm totally spoiled for everything between them anyway - I shall refrain from that for season 2, however. I'll keep the link for the video for later but I'm keeping as spoiler-pure as poss. for other storylines (so I at least have something new when I watch the season).

I've not been as good about S2 spoilers as you. Although I should be considering I was completely unspoiled for S1 as I watched the whole thing over one weekend... that was beyond fun I gotta say! I'm too weak willed now that I'm addicted though. Must know everything now! lol

I wish I was unspoiled about season 1, now that I'm into the show enough to buy the DVDs! However it's the only fandom I've fallen into via the fanfic rather than the show, so I ended up DLing music vids and reading bits of scripts to fill in the background of the fics (heh).

I'm really annoyed because, a. I didn't watch the series as it screened on TV (we're up to Colonial Day now but I missed the first 8 eps) and b. because I had no idea (until I was well & hooked) that the show was still screening in the States, so there'd be a wait for season 2. I assumed it would be one of the dramas that airs here after the first season is over in the States, meaning there wouldn't be much of a wait till season 2. Oh heck and damn!

You are getting into BSG the same way I got sucked into Farscape! Too funny.

And yeah, this show was aired kinda bassackwards, the UK got it *way* before the US but the decision to pick up a 2nd season wasn't made until a good portion of the US airing numbers had come in. I quiet enjoyed it though because the night I saw the first two episodes I ran to DL the entire season. That was good in the sense I had no chance to get spoiled and bad in the sense that I was just overloaded in a crash course of BSG! Surprised my brain didn't go "boom, sir."

Hee. I kept telling myself I'd watch 'em when they aired. But then a friend of mine in DC sent me the DVDs he'd burned of the UK broadcast and I was sunk. He asked me if I wanted them. I said no. I ask you: What part of "no" did he not understand?

Definitely, definitely check out all her other vids. Un4 is a true video artist (you can pay me back in Vancouver, if we both go) - Running Two, Master and Servant, and Not Enough are some of my fave BSG vids.

I completely love that H/B vid.

I did try to download "Master and Servant" from your website (I've become Gaius/Six in such a short time ;)), but the download was so incredibly slow and I grew impatient (patience isn't a virtue I possess, unfortunately). Perhaps there's a faster way?

I just finished watching it. Gosh, I love how you timed the light effects. Can you believe that scene in the miniseries where Six puts herself in front of Baltar *still* made me jump?

I actually don't know the song. It sounded very 80s-90s, though.

Depeche Mode? Oh yeah, so 80's.

Six and Baltar have some great moments in the mini, and I dunno if it's just me but James has gotten cuter as the show went on. My favorite of them is them walking down the hallway holding hands. Priceless.

I agree! I *love* that scene - and it was cute until Six slammed Baltar's head into a bulkhead ;). I'm not too fond of Six's silver dress, though.
